FortiToken Mobile Enrollment
Follow the steps below to install and activate FortiToken Mobile on your mobile device.
1. Check Your Email
Look for an email with the following subject:
FTM Activation on FortiGate
The email contains a QR code required to enroll your device with FortiToken Mobile.
Important: Keep this email accessible on another device, such as your computer, while completing the enrollment on your mobile phone. This makes it easier to scan the QR code.
2. Install FortiToken Mobile
Android
Download FortiToken Mobile from the Google Play Store:

Install the application on your Android device.
Apple iPhone / iPad
Download FortiToken Mobile from the App Store:
Download FortiToken Mobile for Apple
Install the application on your Apple device.
3. Enroll Your FortiToken
After installing the application:
- Open FortiToken Mobile.
- Tap Scan Barcode.
- Allow the application to access your device camera if prompted.
- Scan the QR code provided in the FTM Activation on FortiGate email.
- Wait for the token to be added to the application.
Once successfully enrolled, your FortiToken will appear in the application and generate a 6-digit authentication code.
4. Using FortiToken for Authentication
When prompted for your FortiToken during login:
- Open FortiToken Mobile.
- Select the relevant token if you have more than one.
- Enter the displayed 6-digit code into the authentication prompt.
- Complete the login process.
Note: The authentication code changes periodically. Always enter the latest code displayed in FortiToken Mobile.
Troubleshooting
I did not receive the activation email
Check your Junk, Spam, or Clutter folder.
If the email is still missing, contact your IT administrator.
The QR code cannot be scanned
Make sure:
- The QR code is fully visible.
- Your phone camera has permission to access the camera.
- The QR code is displayed clearly without being cropped.
- Your phone is not too close or too far from the screen.
I changed or lost my phone
Do not attempt to reuse an old FortiToken enrollment unless instructed by your IT administrator.
Contact your IT administrator to have the FortiToken re-issued or re-enrolled.
